WAnimate free event: website launch with guest speakers this evening

WAnimate invites you to a special May event to celebrate the launch of its new website!
The launch includes talks from two exciting guest speakers: Rikki Lea Bestall and Lindsay Fleay.

RIKKI LEA BESTALL, Development Manager for ScreenWest, will speak about ScreenWest’s funding and support programs. (Caution: this talk may bring you one step closer towards making your dream animation a reality!)

LINDSAY FLEAY will then take the stage to tell us about the highlights of his artistic and animation career. Lindsay began his career as an independent stop motion animator in Perth in the late 80′s, creating The Magic Portal, believed to be the first brickfilm ever made. He migrated to 3D animation and visual effects for films like The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, and Happy Feet. Lindsay continues to work in animation, and has recently added virtual world building for the games industry to his repertoire.
